Bar Mitzvah, The Armory, Albany, NY
Big Wave produced Wild Video Dance Party(R) this past weekend in Albany for a Bar Mitzvah at site a called the Amory. In the daytime it is a car dealership and at night and during the weekends an upscale club and catering facility. The theme was New York. We produced several videos using the latest Final Cut Software. The first video featured oncoming traffic from times square was shown at the entrace when guests arrived. During the cocktail hour a thirty minute video of breath taking New York City aerial footage taking from a helicopter combined with some typical street scenes was projected onto the WVDP screens. Prior to the candle lighting ceremony an eight minute video of the Bar Mitzvah boy growing up was aired. Tables were named after various NYC neighborhoods. Big Wave's decor crew created Statue of Liberty Centerpieces and Chinatown, Little Italy and Broadway buffets. We rented the Broadway backdrop from a local dance studio. In addition to WVDP we supplied appropriate decor lighting and pin spotting for every table and buffet. We also used stretch fabrics, four Big Wave dancers, Fun Flicks for the kids and Gerry Brown as the MC. It was a tremendous success.
